LACO tie featuring gold spots & circles on a dark blue background. The company was founded in 1838 in Hamburg by businessman Charles Lavy & is one of only two of its kind remaining in Germany. Even today the products are produced by h&. In 1900 LACO employed over 500 workers in its workshops & even counted Kaiser Wilhelm II among its customers. What makes LACO so special is the lining of the tie. It is made from wool & cotton, & is also elasticated. This means that the fibres relax after the tie is unfastened, thus avoiding any creasing. The outer material is made from 100% silk.
